Munich is the capital city of Bavaria, and the third-largest city in Germany stands on the River Isar on the fringes of the Bavarian Alps. It started as a monastery, expanding into a community when the Duke of Bavaria allowed the monks to establish a market at the crossing of the road from Salzburg and the river. To visit Munich, get in touch with United airlines reservations or visit the official United Airlines website.

In a ring of round curved streets and three of its spectacular old town gates, you can still trace the Munich medieval murals’ lines. Munich’s historic city center centers on the wide-open squared on Marienplatz, where the illuminated clock is spoken two to three times a day by tourists and residents.

Munich is renowned for its festival and cultural calendar for every season. You can enjoy some time with local people at the festival, vibrant markets or a bit of one of Munich’s famous cakes in a pastry shop, with the visit to lovely churches and excellent museums and palaces. Munich residents also enjoy the many public parks and gardens, particularly the spectacular English Garden of 900 acres (Englischer Garten). Provided the number of tourist sites and things to do, it is likely that you are visiting Munich for at least several days.

Best time to visit:
It is from March to May that is the perfect time to visit Munich: the falls crowd is gone, and the summer high season hasn’t yet struck. So you’ll have to pack a hat if you’re one of the millions who want to party at the Oktoberfest. Average temperatures vary from Fahrenheit between 40s and 50s. In the summer, you should pick a light jacket for the cool evenings of Munich. The weather in Biergarten is perfect in the 70s. Winter is mostly the low season in this city except for the holiday months of December and January.

Over these months, Munich thaws out of winter, and travelers enjoy warmer weather without the influx of summer tourists. If you want to access the beer gardens and open-air cafés, schedule your late spring tour.
